He never had pizza before in his life, much less in a restaurant.

It was last summer that we drove a group of children from Anapra to the Peter Piper Pizza in central Ciudad Juarez. We knew it would be fun, a extravagant outing for many of the children, many of whom live with grandparents because their parents were killed by the cartels during those years of violence. We shouldn't have been surprised but we were when one child revealed that night that it was the first time he had ever tasted pizza.

“Changing lives everyday through simple acts of kindness"

Swimming, watermelon, water balloons, pizza... let's make this summer positive and full of joy for children in a Anapra!

Original Appeal for Weekend 1

The children of our missions in Anapra Mexico have been invited to attend a day of swimming and fun that has been planned by the Sertoma Club of Ciudad Juarez. The event is for orphanages and for our kids, many of whom lost parents through cartel violence and now live with their grandparents. All the food and activities will be free of charge BUT we don't have enough vehicles to transport all of our children to and from the event. Will you help us rent a bus so that we can transport 60 children and 20 adult chaperone to the event this weekend?
